Assistant Coach, Strength and Conditioning

Job Summary

Posting Summary

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Works in conjunction with the Head Coaches of designated sports in developing and administering strength and conditioning programs unique to individual sports and athletes to help develop the student-athlete to their full potential.
• Works primarily with the Softball and Women's Volleyball programs
• Assists with other Olympic Sports as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree required.
• A minimum of 2 years of strength coaching experience at the college level, with strength and conditioning instruction experience.
• Membership in and certification by an accredited professional organization (National Strength and Conditioning Association or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association)
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• First aid/CPR/AED certified required or completed within the first 90 days.
• Knowledge of strength training equipment.
• Computer literate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Field Hockey or Track and Field
• Graduate Degree in exercise science related field
• A 1 year strength coaching experience with Field Hockey or Track and Field at the Division 1 level
• Experience working with athlete monitor systems, data analytics, and sport technology

Equipment Utilized

• Knowledge of strength training equipment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Nights and weekends will be required.
