Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

• Contribute to maintaining strong institutional control in all aspects of NCAA, Pac-12 Conference, and University Athletics rules compliance
• Support the documentation and monitoring of activities and NCAA requirements associated with Bylaws 11, 12, 13, 14, 16 and 17
• Review multiple aspects of Bylaw 17 across all sports with an emphasis on countable athletically-related activities and time management plans
• Assist in the initial eligibility process for prospective student-athletes across all sports
• Maintain official team rosters and assist with approving student-athletes for practice and competition
• Support department-wide rules education initiatives and conduct rules education sessions
• Organize and distribute annual NCAA and institutional student-athlete paperwork
• Maintain up to date knowledge of NCAA, Pac-12, and University policies, bylaws, interpretations and case precedent
• Duties may be adjusted based upon the expertise of the successful candidate

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent learning attained through professional level experience and 3 years of relevant work experience. Additional education can substitute for experience.
• Significant experience with and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability and desire to accurately perform detail-oriented tasks and work with basic office software and database programs
• Competent with computer software, such as Microsoft Office, Internet and e-mail

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced graduate degree such as a Master's or Juris Doctor degree.
• One to two years of experience working in an NCAA compliance environment.
• Previous responsibilities associated with Bylaws 11, 12, 13, and/or 17.
• Proficient in working with ARMS.
