Facility Manager, Aquatics Manager

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities:

   

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Natatorium:

        

  • Pool Maintenance: Keeps pool area clean and hazard-free, while assisting in maintaining water quality levels and monitoring chemical usage and needs. Inform supervisor of issues with equipment (needs and faultiness) or personnel.

        

  • Ensure that facility and staff are held to high standard of an Elite NCAA program.

        

  • Follow Maintenance guide set forth by supervisor

     
     
   

• Serve as game day manager for various sports, ACC and NCAA championships:

        

  • Oversee and manage game day and event decision making; oversee and assign contracted personnel for assigned events

        

  • Oversee and assign usher/ticket takers and security personnel for game days; monitor inclement weather and make decisions to ensure safety and security of all staff, student-athletes, visiting teams, and attendees/spectators; communicate any schedule changes

     
     
   

• Facility Manager duties:

        

  • Manage the hiring and dismissal processes of lifeguards and Splash Swim School instructors (temporary employees), schedule lifeguards and Swim School Instructors, and maintain personnel files, including timesheets.

        

  • Pool Set-Up: Ensures pool configuration is to the needs of the UofL swim team or special events of the day, distributing lanes to groups as set forth by supervisor.

        

  • Teaching: Leads a minimum of four lifeguarding classes on annual basis and conducts regular lifeguard in-service training.

        

  • Understand NCAA compliance as it related to facility and report any concerns to appropriate parties
