Senior Associate Athletic Director, Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a member of the Department’s senior leadership team and provide counsel to the Director of Athletics on financial, operational, and administrative matters
• Provide leadership, management, and oversight to the business office, facilities and IT, capital projects, equipment room, and human resources teams
• Serve as the Department's primary contact with the University’s central budget and finance teams and finance committees, among others, and foster campus-wide relationships to ensure alignment between the Department’s financial operation and all University organizational units
• Serve as a member of the Department’s contract administration team, which is responsible for the negotiation and execution of employment contracts and vendor agreements, among other significant contracts
• Develop and implement a collaborative and empowering budget development process for all team and administrative units, and provide leadership to maximize efficiencies and promote fiscal responsibility within each area of the department
• Develop systems and processes for regular financial reporting and analysis, and explore opportunities to enhance data-driven systems and processes to inform departmental financial decision-making
• Participate actively as a partner to the Department’s external team on innovative revenue generation strategies Implement, oversee, and enhance internal controls and departmental budgetary policies and procedures
• Lead budget development, administration, implementation and monitoring processes
• Ensure proper application of and compliance with NCAA and Pac-12 Conference rules, University policies and state laws Advise the Director of Athletics on short-term and long-term budget strategies, multi-year projections, and strategic planning Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics

Minimum Experience: 5 years
