Job Summary

 

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate and remain proactive in the day-to-day sales process, handling issues regarding inventory, pricing, stewardship, errors, strategies, targets and budgets
  • Ensure that the Account Executives, CSRs  (Sales Planners) and CSCs (Sales Assistants) remain focused on stewardship; presentation development; prospecting; building working relationships in the ad buying community; using integrations concepts to develop regional sports marketing programs; and delivering compelling presentations
  • Manage the reporting function to ensure generation of information regarding prospects, pending deals, forecasts, advertiser contacts, specific proposal target lists and expenses
  • Provides general leadership and management, ensuring that the office maintains high standards and all processes are efficient and fresh.
  • Prioritize staff motivation, including handling all paperwork and reviews in a timely manner
  • Remain current on industry trends and regional positioning, working with Account Executives, CSRs (Sales Planners) and CSCs (Sales Assistants) to raise their knowledge level

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • At least 5+ years experience in media sales management, with experience in sports sponsorship a plus
  • A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, as well as dynamic presentation skills and the ability to engage a multitude of audiences
  • Must possess superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain strong business working relationships
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required, as well as proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational, project management and leadership skills are essential
  • A demonstrated ability to multitask and work effectively in a high pressure environment is required
  • An understanding of rate structure, inventory management, program rating methodologies, budget development and execution, compensation plans, ratings and cost per point analysis is strongly preferred
