Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Meet and greet all Ball-Kids at the Group Experiences Tent
- Provide instruction and expectations for all members of the group, to include parents/chaperones of the Ball-Kids, to ensure the group understands when and where to pickup the Ball-Kids after the completion of the game
- Provide Ball-Kids with ‘All-Access’ wristbands and t-shirts
- Provide 1 case of water for all ball-kids and continue to monitor water consumption (cases are located at the wooden Guest Services gazebo)
- Communicate clear expectations and instruction to the Ball-Kids on the field which include –
- Walking around the field and assigning ball-kids to particular areas of the field to stand for the entirety of the game
- Sharing the fan code of conduct and house rules which include –
- No dribbling, juggling, or passing of the soccer balls
- No consumption of food during the game
- The main focus of the Ball-Kid responsibility is to keep the flow of the game going at all times. Ball-Kids should wait until called upon by soccer players or when they make direct eye contact before throwing the ball to the players. Provide the soccer ball to the player before chasing out of bounds soccer balls down.
- Communicate with the Team Manager, 10 minutes to kickoff, to receive gameday soccer balls.
- Distribute soccer balls evenly to the Ball-Kids
- There must always be a ball behind both goals
- Additional gameday responsibilities may apply, as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is exposed to indoor facilities that use air conditioning, and outside weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, depending on the event as well as the location.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or carry supplies; stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
