Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with departmental leadership to plan annual media mix and budget based on club marketing objectives
- Proactively engage creative services and content team to develop high-impact and best-in-class advertising assets, inclusive of out-of-home, print, paid social and digital display, among others
- Build and maintain relationships with local advertising vendors to maximize media buys, traffic creative to meet competing deadlines, and capitalize on new advertising opportunities
- Collaborate with Club’s Business Intelligence unit to leverage existing data insights to inform media mix, placement and messaging
- Construct, monitor and optimize paid social media campaigns, deploying and testing multiple sets of creative and copy for various ticket products
- Develop ad copy that aligns with the overall Club voice and is specific to the intended audience
- Efficiently traffic, place and monitor campaign pixels across pertinent marketing channels, social media platforms and Ticketmaster event pages, ensuring near-real-time insight into conversion rates and revenue generation
- Analyze campaign performance and provide intelligible insights to senior leadership with the purpose of informing future digital marketing strategies
- Contribute to the future growth of Club’s Business Intelligence initiatives, including the development of unique fan profiles and the integration of paid social media in cross-channel fan journeys
- Strategically support paid promotion of original and branded social media content
- Serve as a club liaison to MLS Digital and Data Infrastructure units as well as external agency partners where applicable
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of work experience in a consumer-driven marketing environment or digital marketing agency role
- Sports experience preferred but not required
- Demonstrated experience deploying campaigns with key software and marketing platforms, including: SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Facebook Business Manager (+ Instagram), Twitter Ad Studio and CRM platform
- Experience running multi-channel paid campaigns including TV, radio, print, OOH, etc.
- Experience monitoring marketing campaigns via Google Analytics a plus
- Effective self-starter and excellent communicator with ability to contribute to short- and long-term strategy-setting in the relevant verticals
- Remains abreast of marketing industry trends, tools and opportunities
- Understanding of Major League Soccer and international soccer preferred
- Bachelors degree
