Job Summary

Role Summary

  • The Shooter/Editor- Entertainment will be responsible for developing video content for the portfolio of brands.
  • The shooter-editor position specializes in wearing multiple hats in the video production process including shoot prep, operating camera, basic lighting, audio, video editing, and creating motion graphics.
  • He/She will shoot and edit videos to support our Video Production department on Live, Family Shows, Tours and Venue related content. He/she will manage development, planning, and production of videos as well as ideate and concept digital content.
  • This role should be a high energy, positive attitude, creative who can produce “quality” small video packages end-to end with minimal oversight.
  • Should be knowledgeable of all digital mediums across various platforms and be able to create video content accordingly.
  • This role will help drive the creative execution that delivers the best-in-class content across the breadth of the brand's entertainment properties. Knowledge/expertise in the Music & Entertainment industry is a must!

Specific Functions/Activities Summary

  • Bring content to life in new and exciting ways through video and motion graphics

  • Concept, execute and deliver compelling videos with tight turnaround times

  • Multitask on a variety of projects across all Entertainment properties
  • Work extremely closely and collaboratively with the Entertainment Digital, Marketing, Creative, PR and Production teams

  • Create content while ensuring consistency by following company brand, quality and legal standards

  • Plan, shoot, direct and edit multiple video pieces; select or set up camera shots and graphics

  • Coordinate creative, technical, pre and post-production activities to acquire quality content

  • Handle critical deadlines and short turnarounds in a fast-paced environment

  • Interact collaboratively and take direction in a 1 on 1 environment, as well as working independently

  • Ingest, transcode, log, tag and share media with various departments with very quick turnaround times

  • Assemble recorded raw material into a finished product that's suitable for all platforms by applying artistic editing techniques

 

Qualifications


  • 3-5 years of experience

  • Demonstrated hands on experience with post-production and graphics software, including Adobe Creative Suite

  • Creative & Artistic skills

  • Strong postproduction, aftereffects and motion graphics capabilities are preferred

  • Candidate MUST have a flexible schedule and be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and off-hour shifts when needed.

  • Experience working on digital content executions in the entertainment field a HUGE plus

  • Proven track record for working with Celebrities

  • Familiar with Sony FS5/7 camera packages, lighting and audio kits

  • Candidate should be nimble, detail oriented, calm under pressure, be able to multi-task, wear many hats

  • Superior strategic thinking, superb editing ability, confidence, keen eye for detail, grammar and style, and a deep passion for music, entertainment and popular culture.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; a team player, positive and innovative thinker.

  • Ability to deliver great work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

  • Knowledgeable about various shooting and editing styles and techniques

  • Expertise in small shoot set ups to include – lighting, video and audio equipment

  • Ability to develop and execute robust narratives and story arc’s

  • Demonstrated experience in all phases of production – conception, prep, shooting, editing, finishing

  • Motion Graphics capabilities a HUGE plus

 

Education

  • Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
  • Educational requirements may differ from job to job based on the role.
