Center Manager

Job Summary

The Center Manager provides supervision and management of the Community Center, Field House and Garden operation. This position plans, implements and participates in all aspects of the Parks and Recreation Department to ensure quality, innovation, and effective service delivery based on community interest and need. 

Essential Functions

• Develops good relationships and works cooperatively with city staff, the public, civic groups, local businesses, contractors, youth athletic associations, and school districts to establish innovative joint partnerships, creative recreation programs and entrepreneurial services.
• Manages, schedules and oversees facility rentals, field usage, programs, events, groups, catering operations and activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Studies, Education, Facility Management or related field OR Bachelor's degree in any field with four years of progressive experience in the Parks and Recreation field.   
• Four years of progressively responsible work experience in the parks and recreation field, including: managing/supervising and training employees, financial, event and program management.
