Middle School Athletic Director

Job Summary

Responsibilities:

• We are seeking qualified candidates who will be responsible for providing administrative directions and oversight of the School’s athletic program.
•  The Middle School has an extensive athletic program, including over twenty sports teams spread over three seasons for Sixth through Eighth Grade students. 
• More than 90% of our students participate in team sports. 
• The school also has an intramural program providing opportunities for our Fifth Grade students, who meet after school to play a variety of sports and games. 
• The Athletic Director will lead by activity and example, to develop, organize, supervise and evaluate the entire program of intramural and interscholastic athletics.

 Qualifications:

• In addition to overseeing our athletic program the Athletic Director may teach Middle School Physical Education classes. 
• The Athletic Director will also be expected to contribute to the school community as a club advisor and may be asked to serve on school committees on occasion.
• The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s and related experience. 
• Prior experience working with middle school aged students is preferred.  
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate an ability to inspire and support students and must have excellent writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
