Video Production Internship

Job Summary

• Learn and understand the operation and set up of Xcel Energy Center Control Room to complete daily production tasks.


• Log and archive all Broadcast footage and ancillary footage, including In-Arena and Community footage.


• Videotape and edit events and productions as needed.


• Input all broadcast information into Database and complete Database organization including archive software.


• Fulfill footage requests as instructed and assist Video Production Department with additional tasks.


• Assist In–Arena Production for NHL Team and other select Xcel Energy Center complex events.


• Additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting or Communications with a Mass Media emphasis.


• Must have experience in television and digital production, with knowledge of current television and production equipment and technology.


• Possess a strong understanding of all electronic media editing and must have experience using Adobe Creative Cloud products, specifically Premiere Pro and Photoshop.


• Any graphic knowledge is a plus  (i.e. After Effects, etc.)


• Strong ability to run multiple format cameras with the ability to light subject(s).


• Knowledge of Hockey and sports in general is a must.


• Ability to express creativity and creative ideas to others in addition to multitasking and prioritizing as necessary.


• Willingness to adapt to changing environments and technologies.


• Attention to detail, as well as ability to learn new ideas and concepts, plus the ability learn on the fly.

• Must have flexible schedule for game and event coverage.


• Lifting requirements – must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.


• Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
