Head Men's Baseball Coach

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• The candidate must have a Baccalaureate Degree.
• Two years of prior experience as a College or High School Baseball Coach.
• Possess a valid Illinois Driver's License and good driving record.
• All coaches must be certified in CPR/AED and their certification must be on file in the Athletic Department.

Preferred Qualifications

• Five years of baseball coaching experience at the college or high school level, experience as a high school, college or professional baseball player and a Master's Degree preferred.
• Ability and commitment to recruit, instruct, and motivate college student-athletes. Positive role model for young adults.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, and leadership skills.

Job Summary

• Plan, organize and direct a program to recruit student-athletes to participate in Baseball.
• Perform on field coaching and instruction.
• Other duties include scouting, maintaining statistics and performing tasks required to insure a competitive intercollegiate Baseball Program.

Specific Job Duties

•    Maintain a high level of individual and team discipline.
•    Teach, coach and instruct fundamental and advanced skills.
•    Maintain team and individual statistics.
•    Maintenance of the field and assist with the equipment.
•    Assist with the scheduling of games.
•    Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
