Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, Varsity Athletics

Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all operations of the strength and conditioning department.
• Serve on the High Performance leadership team.
• Serve as a member of the athletic department senior staff.
• Oversee two full time staff members and interns.
• Manage all budget aspects of the strength and conditioning department.
• Responsible for policy and procedure development, review, and revisions.
• Work in conjunction with the athletic trainers, team physicians, men's basketball strength and conditioning coach, sport psychologist, coaches, academic personnel, and administration to safely develop the varsity student-athletes.
• Serve on various industry, University, and athletic department committees.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:

• Ability to work early morning, evenings, late nights.
• Travel required
• Ability to lift heavy weight
• Long duration standing on feet
• Attendance at practice and home games as necessary.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience as a head strength and conditioning coach or equivalent at the professional or collegiate level.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience managing staff.
• Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree
• Previous Head Strength and Conditioning Coach experience serving in a department leadership role.
