Job Summary
This full-time, 12-month, benefit-eligible position will serve as an Assistant Athletic Trainer who will primarily work with coordinating the athletic training services for volleyball and swimming (M&W),through the Stanley J. Marshall Center athletic training room. The scope of practice is includes prevention, evaluation, management rehabilitation, referral, and administration so as to facilitate safe and expeditious return to activity for student-athletes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Earned Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Athletic Administration, or Sports Science by application date;
- Minimum one (1) year experience in athletic training (volleyball and/or swimming preferred);
- At least one (1) year of experience supervising athletic training students;
- BOC certified/SD License or eligible;
- CPR and First Aid certified;
- Effective communication (oral, written, and interpersonal) skills;
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;
- Demonstrated computer application skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Earned Master’s degree (degree preference in Athletic Training, Athletic Administration, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, or Sport Science);
- Division I intercollegiate experience (especially volleyball and/or swimming);
- Experience with team travel responsibilities;
- Knowledge and/or understanding of medical records following HIPAA and FERPA and SIMS;
- Knowledge and/or understanding of medical insurance.
