Intern, Coordinator of New Media, Athletics

Job Summary

Essential & Other Functions

• Develop and implement the department's new media strategy and plan. This position will be responsible for managing the department website content related to video and photographic content, audio/video streaming, social networking and web-based features on student-athletes and coaches.
• Collaborate with Campus Partners by attending campus communicators meetings to align athletics' marketing and social media plans with the University's overall external engagement strategy.
• Supervise Department Student Interns by managing specific communications, marketing and/or multimedia duties in the office and at athletic events
• Participate in Department-wide Events by attending staff meetings and assisting with other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• 1-3 years of total work-related experience
• Minimum of 1 year of related intern experience
• Basic video editing, social media skills, and graphic design skills.
• Experience using a video camera and DSLR camera
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends throughout the school year
