Job Summary
The Coordinator of Sports Administration and Championships will assist in all aspects of conference operations with emphasis on communications, social media, website management, championship and general administration. The position is primarily comprised of athletic communications (40%), general administration (40%) and events/championships (20%). The coordinator may be assigned specific committee oversight as well. Travel, night and weekend work are required.
Minimum Qualifications
- The successful candidate will have at least 2-4 years experience in intercollegiate athletics, sports information, media relations, sports administration, new media, or related field.
- A strong desire or demonstrated commitment to work in the field of intercollegiate athletics is required.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and online communication skills are essential. Must be able to manage multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines.
- A bachelor's degree is required (e.g., athletic administration, sports management); however a masters degree is preferred.
