Athletics Business Manager

Job Summary

 The Athletics Business Manager will also serve as the Ticket Manager for post season events and provide administrative support to the Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics and Recreation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the department business manager by
  • Managing over 120 accounts
  • Processing all invoices, advance requests and deposits for operational, post season, fundraising, endowment and other department budgets
  • Maintaining current and complete shipping and receiving records
  • Resolving shipping and receiving problems as related to the department
  • Inputting all transactions into internal budgeting system
  • Generating budget reports upon request
  • Process all consultant requests
• General Office Responsibilities:
  • Schedule meetings and maintain calendar for the Associate Vice President /Director of Athletics and Recreation
  • Prepare correspondence for the director, often confidential in nature
  • Answer telephone, refer calls and relay messages for all department personnel
  • Greet visitors and respond to a wide array of inquiries of moderate complexity and some sensitive in nature
  • Contribute to the maintenance of good working relationships with all members of the department, student-athletes, parents, alumnae and alumni, and others

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelor's degree with a concentration in business, accounting or sports administration is required.

• Four years of full-time or equivalent experience in financial management work required.

• Proven accounting or budgetary skills required.
