Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
Benefit Programs - 40%
- Partner with the benefits broker to administer benefits programs and policies and implement new programs.
- Assist in planning, developing, and recommending changes to benefits programs and policy to maintain competitiveness, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. Assist the Director in creating strategies that support the total rewards strategy.
- Evaluate proposed employee benefit contracts by reviewing provisions, estimating impact, and providing recommendations.
- Partner with the Benefits Analyst to plan and execute annual benefits & wellness fair.
- Serve as a key member of the Wellness Committee, contributing to the wellness strategy and programs.
- Partner with Talent Management team to create and deliver training on benefit programs, process, and laws.
- Work closely with the Total Rewards team to create and deliver strategies to educate and communicate the overall value of the total reward investment provided to team members.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and assist the benefits team with projects.
Benefits Administration - 35%
- Provide superior customer service to team members and athletes regarding benefits questions and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain new hire benefits information and conduct new hire orientation to review benefits programs, answer questions, and ensure enrollment is completed by associated deadlines.
- Partner with the Payroll team to ensure coordination of payroll and benefits processes. Collaborate to streamline processes.
- Administer the Elite Athlete Health Insurance (EAHI) plan. Provide customer service to athletes and National Governing Bodies (NGBs) answering questions about benefits, guiding the sport injury process, and assisting in resolving claims matters. Coordinate annual approval of the plan with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Partner with Athlete Services to streamline processes and support the EAHI program.
- Perform pre-payroll audit each pay period, meeting established deadlines to ensure accuracy of benefits deductions and paycheck adjustments. Work with Payroll team to resolve any discrepancies.
- Support benefits administration including COBRA administration, invoice reconciliation and processing, auditing, etc.
- Lead year-end processes and tax filing audits such as W-2, 1099, and 1095s ensuring compliance with deadlines.
HRMS Technology - 25%
- Work closely with the Manager, People Systems to develop, optimize, and implement technology solutions.
- Work with the Manager, People Systems to manage all file feeds including maintenance, set-up with new vendors, testing, and changes. Ensure that data flows properly to all vendors and troubleshoot and resolve errors.
- Continually seek ways to streamline manual processes with technology and improve our team member’s experience and understanding of benefits processes.
- Perform data entry for new hires, terminations, and benefits changes as needed.
Minimum Qualifications Required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR-related field or equivalent work experience
- Licensure & Certification:
- Certification in employee benefits (CEBS) preferred
