Athletic Instructor Associate, NCAA

Job Summary

Responsibilities:

• The Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible fro providing comprehensive health care for student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics.
• This position will work in conjunction with a variety of approved healthcare providers. Individual will coordinate athletic training services working with coaches, strength and conditioning, academics, and administration.
• Must comply with HIPAA regulations, University policy, and NCAA compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• A bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or related field from an accredited college/university is required along with some prior experience in an athletic training program.
• Candidates must have NATOBC certification and have (or be eligible for) Georgia Licensure for Athletic Training.
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the University's carrier as this position requires travel.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Examination, assessment, and diagnosis of injury/illness to determine appropriate course of action;
• Ability to communicate with a diverse population;
• Able to implement rehabilitation protocols and use therapeutic modalities and exercise to provide accommodation in sport related injury/illness;
• Be able to assess readiness for safe return to play;
• Coordinate medical appointments and manage athletic training facility
