Job Summary

The Team Store Manager will be tasked with setting realistic and achievable goals in alignment with company goals while demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness, meeting deadlines, continually striving to increase revenue and profitability while working within the approved budget. 


Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Drive and support VGK’s core values throughout the Organization;

  • Oversee and ensure each customer receives exceptional customer service;

  • Foster an open and positive team environment to receive and disseminate direction, ideas, and changes to all store levels and appropriate business partners;

  • Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives;

  • Manage variable controllable costs to maintain function and profits, such as  workforce and scheduling needs, and product shrink; 

  • Ensure the sales floor is adequately stocked and merchandised to reflect the best presentation;
  • Encourage, drive, and support initiatives, innovation, and creativity capitalizing on opportunities to support operational goals and strategies;

  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management, meetings, store walk-throughs, and audits;

  • Set and execute inventory planning and compliance in line with VGK’s standards;

  • Maintain purchase orders/invoices for merchandise entered into VGK’s system;

  • Evaluate staffing needs based on volume and job functions, and hire as needed to support the company goals and objectives;

  • Train and develop store team in all aspects of the business; 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Competencies and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a retail manager or supervisor

  • High School diploma, or GED equivalent required. Associate degree or higher preferred

  • Ability to inspire a team collaborative environment

  • Ability to give as well as take direction well, and work with the team to discuss and plan new ideas. 

  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible can-do attitude

  • Self-starter, proactive, highly motivated

  • Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced, intense environment
