General Manager (full time)
The Western Nebraska Pioneers summer collegiate baseball team has just wrapped up a successful 2020 season in the Expedition League, one of the few teams to play during this pandemic-riddled summer. The team has led the EL in attendance in all three years of our existence and finished in the top 75 in all summer collegiate baseball in 2018 and ‘19. But we strive for more.
Playing at 1,200-seat (3,500-capacity), three-year-old Oregon Trail Park Stadium, the Pioneers provide affordable family fun all summer long in a minor league baseball setting. Music, food, beer, contests, giveaways and more - the Pioneers put on a show every night. This position is responsible for seeking and securing sponsorship and ticket clients as well as the overall operation of the franchise, with oversight and training from the ownership group.
We are looking for the RIGHT person, not just A person. This person will have a minimum of one year of direct sports management and sales experience, understand the concepts of minor league sports and have a tireless work ethic. A thirst for "more" and an "everywhere, all the time" attitude is essential. If your attitude is that every hour is an “on-the-job” hour, this is the position for you.
Do you want to work in a fun, challenging, family-oriented setting with a growing company in a growing league? Become a Pioneer!
