Marketing Intern - Spring 2021

Job Summary

This position will work closely with analytics, social media/brand, creative, ticket and corporate sales to ensure internal needs are being met while reaching our target audiences with relevant content that drives our brands, tickets sales and corporate partnership fulfillment. 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Help develop, manage and execute digital marketing programs, promotions and campaigns for digital channels
  • Help lead research and development of new digital trends, communities, and technologies while determining what is scalable for business with recommendations for future campaigns.

  • Work with various internal clients, develop emails that achieve positive results including improving open rates, revenue generation and brand awareness. 

  • Assist in copy writing, editing and proofreading copy for: email, website, and app. 

  • Monitor competitive efforts and recommend changes as needed.

  • Ensure SEO to help drive organic traffic to our websites both mobile and desktop

  • Work with internal and external creative personnel to ensure all digital is consistent with all other creative work. 

  • Maintain digital style guides and help ensure on brand marketing efforts across all digital channels.

  • Hold lead role for day-to-day updating and maintenance of the website and create or update digital assets.

  • Implement and troubleshoot third party applications and assets on digital platforms.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Current or aspiring Marketing, Communications, or Journalism student or professional

  • Able to work 20 hours per week (flexible schedule)

  • Familiarity with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Tik Tok, podcasts, blogs, and emerging digital media; experience a plus

  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt quickly to new platforms and technologies

  • Ability to develop and pursue initiatives; willingness to express opinion

  • Strong written and telephonic communication skills 

  • Motivated, organized self-starter who meets deadlines

  • Positive, constructive attitude
