Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Design and implement strength and conditioning programs for all student-athletes and sports teams except baseball and football
• Regularly test the student-athletes to determine the effectiveness of the programs
• Maintain accurate records of student-athlete's progress within the strength and conditioning program
• Modify workouts and implement rehabilitative exercises for injured student-athletes as prescribe by the Head Athletic Trainer
• Report the progress of all student-athletes to the respective head coach
• Be responsible for coordinating scheduling and daily upkeep of all strength and conditioning facilities
• Provide the proper supervision of student-athletes to ensure that all student-athletes receive proper instruction on the safe usage of weight machines and free weights
• Perform or coordinate all administrative aspects related to the strength and conditioning program
• Abide by all NCAA, SWAC and University rules and regulations
• Represent the University at clinics, seminars, workshops, etc. as needed
• Other duties as assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach
