Job Summary
Position Summary
The Growth Coordinator will play an integral role in ensuring the organization’s mission to grow and serve the sport. This role is responsible for successfully implementing growth strategies and tactics across the constituent groups – including Members, Race Directors and Event Production Companies, Coaches, Officials, Clubs, any other individuals or organizations that support the triathlon/multisport community.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Key Constituent Growth:
- Proactively lead implementing all growth strategies across constituent groups
- Lead market analysis to identify new growth leads and opportunities for customer acquisition
- Identify new and creative ways to growing all constituent groups
- Establish strong relationships across the organization, especially in service and programs, to ensure alignment and consensus around growth initiatives
- Collaborate and coordinate with Marketing and Communications to reach and connect with new customers
- Seek, foster and manage strategic partnerships across the triathlon/multisport community
Club Growth:
- Manage new club acquisition to hit club growth goals and revenue targets
- Work with internal stakeholders to increase the value for clubs including addition of new benefits
- Collaborate with internal teams to grow clubs in specific areas of programmatic focus including high school and collegiate clubs
- Responsible for the growth and expansion of high school and collegiate clubs
Certified Coach Growth:
- Lead coach growth opportunities including new certifications through virtual education and other key new opportunities to increase revenue
Race Director and Participation Growth:
- Assist with the expansion, value proposition and growth of the Certified Race Director program and the number of Certified Race Directors
Membership Growth:
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies and tactics across all membership types to acquire new members, win back lapsed members and upgrade existing members.
- Collaborate with the service team to develop and implement retention strategies and tactics
Other Duties:
- Assist as necessary with strategic relationships and partnerships
- Assist as necessary with organizational strategy
- Ability to support events onsite as necessary
- Other duties as assigned to ensure department operations run smoothly
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree
- 1-3 years of related experience including sales, marketing or other outbound growth
- Outgoing personality with the ability to help recruit new key constituents for the organization
- Knowledge of the sport of triathlon is helpful, but not required
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage and complete multiple assignments at the same time, with high quality
- Ability to travel, if necessary, and withstand long event days
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment as part of a team atmosphere, including effective coordination with other business units
