Job Summary

Job Description
 
The Social Media Assistant is responsible for coordinating multiple aspects of promoting the NFL Team through various social media outlets, including creating and posting content, engaging in and monitoring the social conversation, monitoring analytics, assisting with organizational initiatives.
 

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as an online voice of the NFL Team 

  • Create, edit, publish and share engaging content daily with a focus on growing fan engagement on all platforms  

  • Work with the video, design and media relations teams to implement social media content strategy that aligns with organizational goals 
  • Help manage content calendar, including daily content along with broader communications and marketing campaigns 

  • Work with digital operations and editorial team to effectively manage and publish news/analysis

  • Help to manage social media accounts’ consistency with brand guidelines and overall digital presence

  • Report on key social metrics and make informed decisions that will allow social media presence to flourish 

  • Monitor and leverage trending content relevant to the team’s social media strategy 

  • Communicate with followers, respond to questions in a timely manner and monitor fan conversations 

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms 
  • Assist with paid social management to amplify content and support team sales priorities
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, multimedia production or related field preferred

  • Deep understanding of social media platforms including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok

  • Proficient in content publishing best practices 

  • Must be highly collaborative in the ideation/development/execution process

  • Experience with paid amplification on all channels preferred

  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills 

  • Understanding of social media analytics and metrics 

  • Experience with digital/social tracking tools 

  • Proficient in using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere 

  • Video/motion graphics experience a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

  • Must be a team player and a selfless professional
