 Job Description:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Responsible for operating, maintaining, and managing Athletic Facilities for intercollegiate contests and special events.

Maintenance and monitoring of ice rink and ice arena mechanical equipment.

Duties include a variety of general maintenance and general custodial tasks.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Consistently maintain the highest quality ice surface possible with the equipment provided.
•  Maintain proper working condition of and required records for mechanical equipment, including ice resurfacing equipment, air handling systems, dehumidification systems, and refrigeration equipment.
•  Ensure appropriate facility set-up, breakdown and game management for intercollegiate contests and special events held in Augsburg Athletic Facilities; includes some cash responsibility.
•  Manage Athletic Facilities operations on evenings/weekends; maintain an optimum level of cleanliness throughout the facility, including arena seating, locker rooms, and other portions of the building.
•  Enforce arena rules and polices, respond to first aid needs, notify and support campus security, as needed, to enforce campus regulations and provide emergency response.
•  Communicate with Facilities Manager regarding concerns with safety, liability, and maintenance needs.
•  Other duties as apparent or assigned by supervisor(s).

Requirements:

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

•  High school education or equivalent.
•  Minimum of one (1) year experience in ice arena operations.
•  Knowledge of the pertinent ice arena equipment operations and maintenance, including the ability to operate and maintain ice resurfacing equipment.
•  Understanding of air quality standards and requirements.
•  Ability to handle public inquiries and questions in a professional manner.
• CPR and first aid certifications preferred.
•  Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse work environment.
• Valid driver's license.
