Assistant Athletic Director for Facilties

Job Summary

The Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities assists the Director with all aspects of operational planning and is responsible for the management of home contests, gameday initiatives, and special events sponsored by the Athletics Department. The Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities will also oversee sport programs as determined by the Director of Athletics.

1. Responsible for the maintenance and management of daily operations of all athletic facilities.
2. Assist in the game-day operations and event management.
3. Manage the internal day-to-day operations set up and break down of operations, repairs and vehicle management.
4. Monitor and track master schedule of athletic facilities; practice, competition, rentals and classes.
5. Lead/attend all operations meetings and game-day production meetings.
6. Contact visiting teams and officials to gather needs/requirements.
7. Coordinate all game contracts with opposing schools.
8. Participate in operational budget planning for game operations and reconciliation of monthly expenses.
9. Coordinate deliveries and distribution.
10. Willingness to accept other duties as assigned.

  Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Ability to work non-traditional business hours including evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.
2. Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills.
3. Knowledge of NCAA rules, education and training.
4. Ability to receive telephone calls, respond to inquiries and communicate with others by telephone.
5. Ability to execute supervisory techniques, leadership training, and appropriate team operation.
6. Knowledge of appropriate computer programs as they relate to the position.
