Community Relations Coordinator & Mascot Entertainer

Job Summary

• Provide high-quality performances at all home games, community appearances, and other activities as needed.


• Perform as the mascot at all home games and events.


• Book and perform at appearances throughout the year.


• Collaborate with other entertainment staff, production staff, and performers to create and implement mascot skits/features performed at games.


• Collaborate with the marketing team to execute mascot activations for team-wide branding initiatives, digital and social media strategy, retail merchandising, media appearances and interviews, etc.


• Responsible for designing and maintaining the costume, wardrobe, props/giveaways, and visual collateral for all mascot-related needs.


• Respond to requests for mascot appearances timely manner.


• Actively generate and report revenue for the mascot program which includes, but not limited to, new appearance opportunities, collaborative corporate partnership opportunities, and character branding initiatives for the mascot program.


• Assist with all community relations appearances for the team that do not require the mascot present.


• Act as a liaison for the team in the community ensuring maximum involvement

• Required to work long hours standing and walking around during season and events.


• Sitting, standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, or crouching are all part of this position.


• Must be able to handle weather-related elements such as rain and heat.
