The Junior Product Manager will be responsible for guiding the progression of existing software and cloud based products as well as defining new features needed to further address the markets we serve. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Junior Product Manager’s role is to understand our customers’ needs within the athletic departments at colleges and universities.In this role you will research and analyze market needs, map customer journeys, and translate those user stories into product requirements. With an understanding of the full product lifecycle, you will rely on excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills to enable multidisciplinary teams during the execution phases features.
Responsibilities
- Work with the development team, designers, and internal and/or external stakeholders to define product requirements
- Assist with QA of the software and documentation of product releases
- Answer customer support questions regarding bugs and features, and work with the team to find resolution to client issues
- Manage internal expectations on product feature and bug priorities
- Seek a deep understanding of athletic departments, sport and school specific processes, and user needs through research and user interviews
- Conduct demos and trainings for all client facing departments on new product updates
- Develop relationships with key customers and broaden the adoption of our products within their athletic programs
Qualifications
- Proven work experience in product management or as a business analyst
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to work from home in an efficient manner with minimal supervision
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the rhombus
- Proficient at working with cross functional teams
- College athletics knowledge is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
