Job Summary

This position reports to the Senior Director, Marketing.   

 

You will: 

 

  • Develop, own and manage the voice of the arena across all digital platforms. 
  • Implement, manage and execute a planning and scheduling calendar for organic arena social media channels.
  • Coordinate with Digital Manager to ensure that all arena goals are being met.
  • Engage in conversation across social channels with fans, players, artists, local media, local influencers, and more. Develop and own relationships with local influencers and tastemakers.
  • Must be comfortable liaising with other departments to provide excellent customer service to patrons online.
  • Collaborate with NHL Team' social media team to coordinate efforts and cross-promotional opportunities.
  • Provide analysis of all arena digital platforms and tracking methods, including tracking and reporting regularly on growth.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to improve campaign results as needed.
  • Assist with other duties as it relates to the marketing department & the arena’s digital presence.

 

What you need to be qualified 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, public relations, communications, business administration, or similar.  
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with increasing social media digital marketing responsibilities
  • Understanding knowledge of brand identity, advertising, digital marketing, and social media strategy and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Pixels, UTM Codes, and other tracking methods
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Extremely well-organized with the ability to multi-task effectively and work under extremely tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail is a must.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects paying high attention to detail, proofreading, editing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in social media scheduling platforms and services. 
  • Demonstrated passion for Marketing and/or the Sports/Entertainment Industry
  • Some proficiency with publishing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
