Job Summary



The Supervisor, Media Asset Logging oversees all aspects of media logging including logging staff, metadata and technical logging workflows.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree in Journalism/Communications or related degree/experience required

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Digital Media or a Broadcast environment required

  • Experience working with a video archive preferred

  • Background in golf preferred, strong interest in golf required

  • Ability to provide technical training and support for Media Asset Management logging system

  • Demonstrates proficiency in all technical concepts related to media logging

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, detail oriented with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals across multiple departments (team player)

  • Ability to multitask on various projects at the same time

  • Able to effectively motivate and supervise employees in a digital broadcast environment

 
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Oversee the Media Loggers in their day-to-day duties organizing and prioritizing assignments for the media loggers in the MAM department

  • Oversee all aspects of logging applications and workflow

  • Maintain regular communication with Media Asset Manager to discuss the status of all logging assignments

  • Development and conducting MAM logging training for logging staff

  • Provide technical support and design concepts for MAM Logging system

  • Work with external vendors for all transcription-based services

  • Manage and implement policies and procedures to assure successful tracking of completed logging tasks
  • Maintain maximum level of accuracy and detail as outlined in logging procedures documentation

  • Complete all required pre and post-logging reports

  • Log assigned incoming footage

  • Develop and encourage staff to pursue new tasks and challenges related to overall departmental goals and objectives

  • Contribute to departmental operations, including staffing, budget management/ cost containment, and internal communication

  • Special projects or other duties as assigned
