Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting the coaching staff in directing all aspects of recruiting prospective student athletes to the University Football program. Under the ultimate supervision of the Head Football Coach, this position will directly report to the Associate AD for Football and adhere to all NCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities*

       
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Recruiting and Director of Scouting to direct the personnel staff in the identification, evaluation and recruitment of prospective student athletes.
  •    
  • Assist the Director of Recruiting in the organization, scheduling and logistics of all official and unofficial visits of prospective student athletes.
  •    
  • Be responsible for department marketing plan to include communication schedules, print mailings and idea generation for social media content.
  •    
  • Establish relationships with prospective student-athletes, their families and champions of their recruitment.
  •    
  • Manage the Director of High School Relations in all matters regarding high school coach contacts, and other applicable organizations.
  •    
  • Direct assigned on-campus recruiting activities to include campus and facility tours.
  •    
  • Responsible for prospecting collegiate student-athletes that have entered the transfer portal.
  •    
  • Organize applicable recruiting information as determined by the Head Coach and other football staff members.
  •    
  • Assist camp director with organization of all institutional summer football camps.
  •    
  • Assist with the summer Youth Impact Program.
  •    
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach and Associate Athletic Director for Football.

Required Qualifications*

       
  • Bachelor degree.
  •    
  • Minimum of three years recruiting experience at the collegiate level.
  •    
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines and work effectively with frequent interruptions
  •    
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize good judgment in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures and to exercise discretion in confidential matters is essential.
  •    
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Concur, and google mail/calendar system.
