Job Summary
Position Summary
Supervise on and off campus athletic and special events. In collaboration with senior athletic department leadership, assist in the planning, development, preparation and supervision of all Athletic Department hosted games and events at both on and off campus owned, leased, rented and permitted locations. Serve as department point of contact to facilitate the use of owned Athletic spaces by the University community as well as non-university prospective renters. Recruit and recommend for hire all student and temporary event staff. Approve work schedules and time off requests for student and temporary event staff. Assist with all marketing programs directed toward student involvement & attendance at athletic events. Supervise Athletic Facility operations and staff during operating hours to ensure the department's standards for customer service, health, safety, and housekeeping is met. Supervise technical and student support staff instructing patrons on and performing routine maintenance of strength and aerobic equipment, maintaining signage and displays, and collecting ticket and guest fees. Interpret and implement policies and procedures regarding access and use of facility by patrons and guests. Recommend and implement changes to department's protocols (e.g. scheduling, operating policies). Ensure adherence to rules regarding health, safety and orderly conduct by patrons.
