Job Summary
Headquartered in the heart of Austin, Texas, MVP is the emerging standard global brands use to value their sports and entertainment sponsorships and understand who engages with, or purchases, their products. Our clients — Fortune 500 brands, professional teams, global agencies, and media — use MVP as the standard for benchmarking sponsorship performance, understanding audiences, and deciding where and how to run campaigns.
We are looking for two (2) Product Owner Interns focused on supporting the Product and Design department at MVP. Each Product Owner Intern will work closely with product managers and designers to better understand the user experience and help craft user stories for the engineering team. The Product Owner Interns will have opportunities to gain exposure to Design Thinking, Agile/SCRUM, product management, project management, data analysis, and AI/ML.
These two unpaid, summer internships will entail twenty five (25) hours of work per week during the months of September through December 2021. We are accepting applications from both remote and on-location candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Support requirements analysis and research to ensure correct requirements have been defined for new product features
- Support product manager by capturing user interface requirements and translating them into user story acceptance criteria
- Support writing functional specifications to ensure proper delivery of product requirements by the engineering team
- Work effectively in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills.
- Act as a problem solver to drive successful completion of assigned tasks.
Skills/Experience:
- Must have completed at least two years of study in a bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field at an accredited college or university
- Strong analytical and data skills
- Knowledge of data analytics and statistics using SQL, R, Hive, or similar
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and thrive in fast-paced environments
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Strong ability to translate product and user needs into technology
- Ability to write code preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
It’s a Plus if You:
- Are pursuing a master’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field at an accredited college or university
- Have the ability to write code
