Position Summary: 


Moolah Kicks is currently seeking a detail-oriented, driven, organized, creative, and self-starting individual to join us as a Marketing Manager. In this role you will strategize and create physical and digital marketing campaigns. You will serve as the internal expert on all things marketing. As part of marketing, this position will include selecting, coordinating, and managing brand influencers. You will also work with the social media team, and videographers/photographers to bring the campaigns to life. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of bringing the first women’s basketball brand to market, meaningfully connect with women’s hoopers, and create and execute marketing deliverables across several channels. This is a perfect opportunity for an ambitious individual in the marketing industry to apply their skill set(s), execute strategies at scale, and contribute to growing women’s basketball and the opportunities within it. The position has the potential to rapidly grow into a leadership role within a thriving basketball brand. This role will report directly to the CEO.

Moolah Kicks is the first women’s basketball brand, built by and for female ballers. Moolah was founded by Natalie White, a basketball player and fierce advocate for gender equality with a mission to fill a gap in women’s basketball. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategize, create and design physical marketing campaigns

  • Create, design, and enact paid digital advertising campaigns across social media channels

  • Work directly with our sponsored athletes 

  • Orchestrate digital content strategies across relevant online platforms

  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives, strategies and tactics with tracking data, and present findings to leadership

  • Create and design photo, video, and print graphics in Adobe creative suite

  • Report and maintain spending within the marketing budget

  • Ordering and shipping of samples to key influencers and brand partners 

  • Gather customer and partner feedback to generate ideas and increase customer engagement

  • Craft brand and influencer storytelling and distill across platforms

  • Physical presence at women’s/girl’s basketball events for content creation and brand awareness


Marketing Content

  • Understand our audience- leverage personal and data driven research to understand who our main customer is, what they like, how they spend their time, and the best ways to reach them

  • Organize content from social media team and influencers to maintain a consistent and meaningful social media presence for Moolah Kicks

  • Create design graphics in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Shoot or coordinate grassroots footage at tournaments and events

  • Scope and execute consumer research for the company

  • Gather requests (including brand partnerships, content, merchandise, etc.)

  • Contribute to ongoing analysis of our followers across all channels (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, .com)


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field

  • Multiple years of marketing experience

  • Deep understanding of digital and physical marketing channels

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill complex information into key insights and summaries

  • Excellent storytelling abilities and can quickly and succinctly distill complex data to tell a story

  • Content creation capabilities

  • Excellent planning, coordination and collaboration skills

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

  • Understanding of the sales funnel

  • Ability to think strategically, creatively and innovatively

  • Ready to jump in and hustle, not afraid of hands-on work

  • Proficiency/understanding of Adobe Creative and Microsoft Office

Key Details: 

  • This is position will start on a project basis and shift into a full time role

  • Paid hourly, with payments on a bi-weekly basis

  • Mix of remote and in-person

This candidate is ideally based in the New York City or Boston area(s), but the role will be remote to start. There is an anticipated return to office in the next 6 months.
