Athletic Trainer Intern (TEMP)

Job Summary

Summary

The Athletic Trainer Intern will work directly with coaches, physicians, athletic counseling and sports
psychology personnel, sports dieticians, strength and conditioning personnel, and other allied health
personnel to deliver comprehensive healthcare and lifetime wellness services student athletes.


Responsibilities*

Essential Functions:

   
• Serve as a medical contact and liaison between members of the coaching staff, student athletes, parents, physicians, members of the Student Athlete Health & Welfare Team, other allied health personnel, and others for football and/or other assigned sport(s).
   
• Provide a high level of customer service and communication at all times to all entities.
   
• Clinical application and administration of comprehensive health care and lifetime wellness services for student athletes as assigned to include the prevention, evaluation, management, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses under the supervision of team physicians.
   
• Attend assigned team practices, competitions, strength and conditioning sessions, and other team events as needed and/or directed.
