Conference Sales Manager

Job Summary

• Manager is responsible for researching and developing marketing opportunities and planning and implementing new and existing sales plans to meet the company's operations goals.


• Negotiate venue deals with customers, clients, promoters and/or agents.


• Monitor and maintain the master Center calendar.


• Obtain full understanding of venue deal points and agreements.


• Input and maintain all events and event holds using the ASM Global Booking software.


• Distribute booking sheets and show related information to personnel.


• Assist in settlement of all meetings, banquets, and entertainment events as required.

• Conduct facility tours for prospective clients.


• Establish expansive network of organizations (non-profit, for profit, association, corporate), meeting planners and their representatives.


• Assists in sales of four buildings in accomplishing sales and marketing goals.

• Send client pre-event information and follow-up information that affects booking.


• Identify current and historical trends and opportunities in all markets including the meetings and events industries.


• Handles pre-event correspondence and meetings with event planners and promoters.


• Carry out specific marketing plans relating to events using support of advertising, as requested by the Director of Sales & Marketing.


• Attend industry specific trade shows, conferences, and meetings as necessary.


• Minimal travel is required.
