Fitness Equipment Technician

Job Summary

The Fitness Equipment Technician is responsible to ensure preventative maintenance and repair service is sufficient to keep all cardio and strength equipment functional and working with maximum up-time.  Maintaining equipment in world-class and like-new conditions is an expectation of users and contributes directly to user satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate time management skills and ability to work independently with limited, direct supervision. Exercise judgement related to escalation of unresolved issues to related vendors or to Operations Coordinator.
• Fiscal accountability.
• Demonstrated experience and abilities to work as part of a professional team that collaborates effectively with
• colleagues.
• Ability to problem solve and provide basic troubleshooting of fitness equipment to facilitate limited downtime.
• Ability to work both independently as well as with a team
• Preferred two (2) or more years experience working in a similar, fitness equipment repair/service position. 
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in closely related position, during which time the applicant has acquired and demonstrated the ability to perform the essential duties of the position. Graduate Assistant position may meet this requirement.
