Fitness Center Assistant/Strength & Conditioning Coach

Job Summary

Assists the Fitness Center Director in the overall management of the fitness center, performs one-on-one and group exercise instruction, and serves as Strength and Conditioning Coach for intercollegiate student-athletes. Follows best practices to build and/or support student academic success and retention.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in sports management, physical education, recreation, athletic training or related field, Master's degree.

1-3 years instructor experience in physical education programs and/or recreation.

CSCS - NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and/or CSCCA – Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified.

Previous experience in creating and implementing strength and conditioning programming for collegiate student-athletes preferred.

Possession of related credentials (ATC, RD, PT) preferred.
