Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations

Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations will serve as the primary media contact for sports. This position will create graphics for sports promotion and recruiting purposes. The Assistant Director will promote assigned sports with writing, social media, design, editing press releases, and other media tools.

Qualifications: 

1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Journalism, English, Communications or a closely related field, from an accredited college/university.
2. Prior experience in the field of professional or collegiate athletic communications is required.
3. Possess excellent writing skills, and a working knowledge of multiple social media platforms.
4. Knowledge of NCAA LiveStats and StatCrew software and Adobe Creative Cloud programs.
5. Prior experience working with SideARM Sports is preferred as well as a candidate with advanced graphic design and non-linear editing skills.
