Assistant Athletic Trainer

Job Summary

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist the sports medicine staff with administering athletic training services for 19 men's and women's intercollegiate sports teams. Duties include supervising undergraduate and graduate athletic training students, evaluating and administering first aid to student-athletes, coordinating referrals, and maintaining communication with the athletic health care team and coaches.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Athletic Administration or Sports Science by application date;
• Minimum 1 year experience in athletic training;
• At least 1 year experience supervising athletic training students;
• BOC certification for athletic training, CPR and First Aid certified;
• Effective communication (oral, written and interpersonal) skills;
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;
• Demonstrated computer application skills.
