Title: Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Salary: $35,000 base Salary – Reviewed every June
Your primary duties will be to answer our incoming phone calls and voicemails, answering questions to the best of your ability, relying on the rest of our staff to help you learn and answer wide ranging questions from registration to rosters. Your role will also require you to take payments over the phone and update our database accordingly for items such as player registration and team entry payments. You will also be directly involved in the registration process, helping current players re-register via phone and email, and help new registrations as well.
While these will be your primary duties, we are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to learn a wide range of items and grow with the position. The best applications will be a team player with the ability to ask question when needed.
Full time, 40 hours a week, 8am – 5pm, with an hour lunch break. Typically Monday through Friday, with the requirement of some work on weekend during out busy season. We will give you notice and you will get another day off in lieu of the weekend day worked. (Exception: If you are working as a field director at a tournament, you will be paid at the field director rate for the weekend and not receive a day off or overtime).
There is a 6 month probationary period for this position.
Pay and Benefits:
$35,000 base salary, reviewed once a year.
Vacation: First 2 Years: Two weeks per year (10 working days)
2 Years – 4 Years: Three weeks (15 working days)
5 Years Plus: Four weeks (20 working days)
Vacation time is accrued.
Sick Pay: One day per two months. Unused sick days are added to vacation days each year.
Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. (Veteran’s Day only for Veterans).
Benefits: Paid for full time employees, 1 month after start date. Medical is Blue Shield of California, Dental is Anthem Blue Cross, and Vision is VSP. In addition to medical, dental, and vision, SSUSA will open a HSA (Health Saving Account) in your name and deposit $250 monthly to help cover deductibles and some out of pocket medical expenses. Any HSA funds not used is carried over for the next year. SSUSA also provides a paid $25,000 life insurance policy.
