Our office consists of people who are passionate, dedicated and innovative people. The Athlete Health and Performance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating medical care and ensuring that all athlete medical requirements and licenses are obtained in a timely manner for each event. This position entails significant interaction with athletes, athlete managers and various medical providers to ensure appropriate medical care and that all medical and licensing requirements are in place for each event.

Responsibilities:

Coordinates all aspects of medical claims processing for athletes, including coordination of efforts with individual service providers and insurance companies.
2. Provides updates and researches information pertaining to claims.
3. Obtains necessary information from athletes, and maintains information according to company policy and HIPAA regulations.
4. Files medical claims and explanation of benefits documents daily.
5. Requests appropriate claim forms for insurance companies.
6. Requests additional documentation from medical providers in order for insurance companies to process medical claims.
7. Performs other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

1. Associate's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
2. 2-3 years of experience processing medical claims or otherwise working with similar information.
3. Experience submitting health insurance claims for health care provider, helpful.
4. Knowledge and/or education pertaining to medical terminology.
5. Knowledge and/or experience with CPT codes.
6. Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
7. Bilingual preferred.
8. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
9. Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
10. Ability to multi-task.
11. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and the ability to learn other basic computer programs.
