The Chicago Red Stars, a part of the National Women’s Soccer League, represent the pinnacle of women’s professional soccer in Chicago, the 3rd largest market in the United States.  The Red Stars have reached the playoffs of the NWSL (the top pro women’s soccer league in the world) for 4 consecutive years and have been building a strong base of loyal supporters and season ticket holders throughout their 10 year existence.  Playing at Toyota Park, a soccer-specific MLS stadium, fans enjoy a professional atmosphere with players competing on a natural grass surface rivaled by few US stadiums.
 
Description:
Chicago Red Stars are looking for enthusiastic, organized and business-minded individual to deliver soccer camps and programs in the Midwest primarily Chicago. Programs may take place during days, evenings, and/or weekends.  
 
Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare annual Tournaments and Training Program Business Plan each year including revenues, costs

  • Agree-upon revenue and expense goals in the annual plan

  • Continually seek to create new product and revenue streams for the Tournaments and Training Program and grow existing streams

  • Assist in developing comprehensive marketing plan for the Tournaments and Training Program, including event setup

  • Job will require grassroots outreach and events, evenings, weekends as needed

  • Drive merchandise sales through Youth and Adult members according to Merchandise plan

  • Individual will manage content at redstarsacademy.com and other domains & all social media applications related to Tournaments and Training Program

  • Individual will be responsible for working with other front office departments including Marketing and Sales to drive game day ticket initiatives via program attendees

  • Responsible for overseeing priorities, confirming logistics, security, and ensuring productivity of Program

  • Attend events to promote Tournaments and Training Program

  • Manage alliance, sponsor, and partner relationships

  • Work with Sponsorship Director to maximize asset use and sponsorship of Youth Programs assets

  • Ensure properly credentialed and background checked staff for all Tournaments and Training Program events

  • Manage player-coaching schedule with the assistance of coaching staff or assignment designee 

  • Develop Programs plan for all Red Stars home games to include revenue streams plus promotion

  • Create detailed monthly Profit/Loss statements for all Programs events utilizing templates developed with Finance

  • Manage database of attendees including contact information, and ensure timely entry into the Email marketing system – work with marketing to use email database on promotions

  • Supervise data collection processes, invoicing processes, and customer satisfaction and survey processes

  • Work with Director and Graphics to develop of all camp collateral including flyers, brochures, banners

  • Work closely with Red Stars staff on cross-marketing initiatives

Qualifications:

  • ·Experience running and growing a business or a line of business including budgeting and managing revenues and expenses USSF coaching license preferred but not mandatory 

  • High School Diploma is required, Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college university preferred

  • High school or college playing experience preferred. 

  • Experience working with children is strongly preferred

  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid, driver’s license (some locations are not accessible via public transportation)

  • Willingness to obtain further coaching qualifications

  • Background check will be required
