Golf is a high-variance game: Anyone can win at any time. This week’s social poll tested our follower’s ability to predict the winner of this past weekend’s Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

We asked who they thought would win: One of the two favorites, Tiger Woods or Rory McIlroy. We also gave them the option to write in a potential winner from the field. Judging from these results: We would not recommend that our audience bet on golf. A staggering 64.5% of our audience chose Tiger Woods compared to just 35.5% for Rory McIllroy. However, 100% of respondents were wrong. Ouch.
