With Major League Baseball Spring Training in full swing, this week’s “Hot Job of The Week” is focusing on an opportunity in the MLB. The Minnesota Twins are on the lookout for a Business Development Executive. If you’re a passionate sales manager or executive interested in taking a step up in your career or moving into the sports industry, this is the opportunity you’re looking for.

The Business Development Executive is responsible for generating new season tickets, group tickets, and single-game hospitality revenue.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Conduct telephone campaigns to acquire new business, and generate incremental revenue.
  • Set appointments at both The Field and external locations to generate new business.
  • Self-prospect and identify new business targets to generate incremental revenue.

Recommended Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities include:

  • Prior sales experience working for a professional sports franchise is preferred but not required.
  • Prior sales and account management experience, including direct sales presentations and telephone sales, is required.
  • Familiarity with the Pro Venue ticketing system and CRM system is a plus.
  • Excellent oral communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
