The Coronavirus pandemic has had a devastating effect on sports, with many college and professional seasons being canceled or postponed. However, there is one category of sports that has seen a rise during the pandemic: eSports.

While many of the in-person events, such as the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational, have been canceled, streams of eSports events are at an all-time high. According to TwitchTracker, Twitch, a popular platform for streaming eSports, has seen an increase of approximately 30%.

So, we wanted to know what our followers thought about eSports – do you consider them true sports? Do you support and consume eSport content?

63.8‬% of respondents said they support eSports, so we’re likely to see more growth in support of the eSports industry moving forward.
