The Quincy University Hawks are searching for a new Head Coach for their Women’s soccer team. The head coach will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all aspects of the women’s soccer program, including coaching the team, planning, organizing, and supervising team practices; actively identifying, evaluating, and recruiting student-athletes; and working within NJCAA, Region 21 organizational guidelines.

Job Requirements:

  • Execute the organization, administration, and coaching of the women’s soccer program, including; practice plans and game management for in and post-season workouts
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruiting and retention of student-athlete program
  • Organize and teach individual skill instruction to players
  • Hire and supervise assistant coaches
  • Create an appropriate academic culture for team members and provide adequate academic monitoring, support, and counseling for student-athletes.
  • Possess cultural competency to work with diverse student and/or employee populations.
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism, leadership, and creative problem-solving. Ensure that the policies, procedures, and regulations of organizations to which the college belongs, including the NJCAA and Region 21, are adhered to. The head coach shall also assume responsibility for maintaining a working knowledge of pertinent standards established by these organizations.
  • Demonstrate professional demeanor and appearance; ability to engage positively and work professionally with students, faculty, staff, and administration and represent the College in the public image.
  • Attend Open Houses and any pertinent College event as designated by the Athletic Director.

Qualifications Include:

  • Degree from an accredited college or University preferred
  • Prior playing/coaching/recruiting experience at the collegiate level
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and solid planning of strategies within the sport
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours
  • Knowledge and experience in NCAA rules and compliance
  • Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and has a positive demeanor
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and project a positive, professional attitude
