Job Summary
ABOUT US:
The Pickleball Hall is the premiere location to play pickleball in Suffolk County. The Pickleball Hall is seeking a Director of Pickleball who will be responsible for the daily oversight of all pickleball programming including developing, promoting, managing and scheduling private lessons, clinics, open play, leagues, ladders, special events, and tournaments for our members.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is able to interact and instruct players of all levels and ages. The Director of Pickleball should be a person who can build authentic relationships with members, and help members and program participants connect with each other and the Pickleball Hall.
The Director of Pickleball needs to be a hard working individual who has the willingness to contribute to the overall appearance and cleanliness of the Pickleball Hall.
Overall, the Director of Pickleball is responsible for delivering an unparalleled level of service for our guests and members.
Responsibilities:

Create, promote, and run instructional clinics, private lessons, open/social play, leagues and organized tournaments

Develops a detailed annual calendar of pickleball activities that attract new members and maintain current members’ pickleball interests.

Lead energizing, fun and safe, beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels and ages of players.

Promote open plays, events, leagues, round robins, ladders, tournaments and any other pickleball related news through weekly newsletter, the website, social media and our booking software.

Maintenance of all activities on our online booking portal including monitoring court usage

Assist with interviewing and hiring pickleball instructors and facilitators.

Oversight of the instructors submitting timely invoicing, holding them accountable to agreed schedules and company standards.

Respond to all member and guest feedback and concerns in a prompt and professional manner

Strong knowledge of pro-shop merchandise in order to properly give information to consumers.
In addition,

Ensures proper inspection of the courts/facilities daily prior to the start of play and ascertain that all necessary maintenance has been performed and the courts are in a safe working order. Report any maintenance problems to the appropriate person.

Evaluate appearance of the facilities, staff and facilitate action when necessary; perform daily walkthroughs of Pickleball Hall for cleanliness.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested including assisting with special and corporate events.

When necessary, help front desk staff with all administrative functions
Requirements

A minimum of two years management & operations experience in in a high volume pickleball or tennis club

Minimum 1 year consistent pickleball teaching experience

International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA), and/or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) certification required

Certifications in CPR, AED, First Aid is preferred
Pay: $46,000.00-52,000 per year
