Job Summary

Provide water surveillance and swimming rule enforcements ensuring the safety of swimming patrons. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in the classroom by developing and using effective teaching strategies that meet students' diverse needs and engage students in critical thinking and problem-solving.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma required. 

Lifeguard must be in good physical and mental condition to provide life saving services.

Prior experience as junior lifeguard, certified lifeguard, or swimming instructor.

Prior experience with and proficient use of lifesaving equipment; basic first aid kit, CPR mask, rescue buoy or rescue tube.

Able to exercise independent judgment and respond calmly to high-pressure emergency situations.
